Oh Christmas Tree

Hi guys!  Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree! Makes you feel like singing, doesn't it!  I love this pretty Christmas tree die, it's just so elegant.  I used the blue tissue paper faux silk technique to create the background for my card.  If you missed the directions for this, you can find them in the post dated June 22nd.  I added a strip of gold dotted paper for interest to my background.  I cut a Holly Accent borders and glued it to the right hand side of the card.  I tied a piece of gold silky crush ribbon around the card and tied a double bow and attached it with glue dots.   I cut a Holly motif out of gold card.  I cut the top half at the swirls on the sides and used it as an accent above my Christmas tree.  I cut one of the smaller motif pieces and cut it in half to create two large corner pieces. on the left side of the card.  I added some large half pearls to the Christmas tree as accents.  I pierced the edges as a final detail for the card.  All for now, Sue x

That faux silk paper technique using the dark blue paper is very elegant and classy. The pearls and the gold accents really make this a gorgeous card. It goes without saying that the bow is lovely and adds to the classiness.

Hi Sue these colours together are amazing and love the dies. If only money was not so tight I would love to have them all. Will have to take it slow and build up my collection, so please don't bring any more new dies out although I see from Spellbinder web page there are more to come. Oh no.

I must try it because it looks amazing, I have a sheet of gold card similar to the one you 've used but because I only have the one sheet I am reluctant to use it.
