Shabby Chic Grand Dahlia Set

Happy Sunday!  A shabby chic creation for today's post which uses the Grand Dahlia die set.  I cut two frames using the two smallest sized dies in this set, one pink, one brown.  I added some mounting foam to the pink one for dimension and offset the two of them over an aperture that I cut out of my background paper.  I used the Design Element stamp set to add some feathers on to the background in Victorian Velvet distress ink for interest.  I used the decorative frame from that set to stamp with Victorian velvet on to milk coloured card.  I stamped my sentiment in the centre.  I mounted this piece behind my aperture opening.  Using the aster flower topper die set, I cut six of them smallest size in milk card.  I inked the edges with Vic. velvet, spritzed them with water and scrunched them up.  I put a brad through the middle of each of them and scrunched a bit more to form this flower.  To finish the shabby chic look, I added some crochet ribbon and tea dyed vintage ribbon as a backing for my flower.  I added some stick pins and a few swirly pearlies in the opposite corner, pierced the edges to complete the card.

Now for the weekly sunday Comment Game drawing.  This weeks winners are:
Becci!!!
sued99!!!
3362Jan!!!

Congratulations!  Please email me at americansue1@gmail.com to confirm your address and claim your prizes.  All for now, Sue x
