Let It Snow

 Hello crafters!  I don't mean that title to be taken as a request! LOL  One of the many things on my to do list when I returned to the UK was to take pictures of the cards from the CHA show I did so I could post them.  I had forgotten to do it so the ones that I have already put on the blog, were taken in the hotel room (they weren't the best pics).  I think I have done much better with this one!  I love Christmas cards that are not your usual colour combos and this aqua and white just sings to me.  I started by stamping my aqua card background with the Delicate Holly Swirl stamp from Heartfelt Creations and heat embossing it with white powder.  I just stamped it randomly around the edges.  Next I stamped it some more on white card and also white embossed it for a tonal look.  I cut the card into two strips and cut forked flags in one end of each.  I matted them with aqua card.  For the centre strip, I embossed it rather than stamping it.  I used the New Years Dove embossing folder by Couture Creations.  I matted it with aqua card as well.  I used an older die from the Fancy Tags Three set and cut it out of aqua card.  It has perfect openings on the sides to slide a sentiment through so I thought I would take advantage of that.  I stamped the Let it snow sentiment (Heartfelt Creations), matted it with aqua card and slid it so it was centred in the die.  I used the lovely holly die in the Ornamental Add On set and cut two of them in white and glued them top and bottom.  I added Cosmic Shimmer Iced Snow to the leaves and flatback pearls to the holly areas as accents.  I finished with a double white pierced mat for crisp, clean look.  This is one of my favourite Christmas themed cards.  I hope you like it as well.  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size.

I had a really fun weekend at Ally Pally and absolutely loved meeting so many of you there!  Thank you for stopping by and saying hi and allowing me to do a it of demoing for you.  Just a quick note, my shows have been changed so please check the side of the blog for the new dates and times.   Julia Watts has shows today at 10am and 2pm using some of the new stamps that have been drawn by my artist.  They are so incredibly beautiful! You just have to tune in to check them out and see her fab demos!  All for now, Sue x

    Thank you for today's beautiful gift.
    It may not be the traditional or colour of the season but it certainly hits the spot.
    The aqua makes a beautiful and very very gentle colour scheme and the format can be used for any occasion.
    It is one of my favourite C.cards you have posted. I only wish now that I had not decided on my colour/theme for this year! Oh well will put it in my must do box and there's always next year.

    Hi Sue. What a fabulous card today !! I really love it all. My favourite colour is green and this aqua coloured card is gorgeous. I really love how it looks with just plain white embossing powder. It has transformed it into a beautiful work of art. I also love the white on white parts of the card to. The fancy tags three die looks fab , along with the holly leaf dies. A great Christmas card Sue.
    If you are now on c+c for several days will it be something similar to a four day deal ? You know the kind that last about 24 hours when you are on tv !!! I do hope you will be bringing us some of this gorgeous aqua coloured card and those beautiful new buttons too. Can't wait to see you on tv. Lots of love Tres x x x

    Oh i do like today's card as it is so soft and nice and clean looking. The holly add on die cuts are lovely. I like how you have done the tags as they look beautiful with the dry embossed middle on against the 2 outside wet embossed tone on tone. A really beautiful card so thank you Sue.
