What a lot of fun this technique is and so effective.

what an amazing effect. Time to raid my husbands shaving foam. Hope he won't notice. Does it matter what type of shaving foam it is? He uses a sensitive one.
Hope you had a good Christmas.
Mine was a spellbinding one. I only asked for spellbinders, and I got loads.

Looks amazing but what kind of ink/paint have you used?

Chrisspi said...

Really funky Sue. I've never seen this done before. How long do you have to leave ink to dry before you scrape off the foam with the ruler?

Hi Sue
Thank you so much for reminding me about this technique I used to do it years ago but forgot about it. Every time you do it it looks different no two cards are the same.

Thank you Sue for another great technique. Had forgotten just how good it is.

How bizarre is this?

Hi Sue your shaving cream demo is great one lady asked what cream was used when Iused to do it on T shirts I used very basic foam and as I am a decorative painter I would then use it as a background to paint designs on it. If using it on T shirts place a suitable sized strong card in a polythene bag to place inside the t shirt then just follow sues' instructions

Oh have heard about this but seeing it is amazing. Have to have a go I feel. Thanks Sue Kathyxxxx

I never ceased to be amazed at your beautiful cards, Sue. I am collecting spellbinders and this will be a wonderful background to add to my cards. What would I do without Sue Wilson and my Spellbinders.

Hello Sue, saw you demo this, what an amazing technique, will be giving it a try as I have a birthday card to make and this will be fabulous for the background. Thank you, I am just getting ready for your 5pm show.

I missed the C&C demo this tutorial makes the method clear. Do you have to use alcohol inks or is there something else that can be used instead please?

Just had a lovely time with shaving foam, paint, mica and sprays. Thank you so much for sharing this technique,Sue. Only thing is, I couldn't remember what ink you used, so I improvised. I also made a bit of a mess, not neat like yours. Such fun 'tho.

I did the shaving foam back ground and it looked great. Keep coming up with more things Sue.

Where is the "SUE" to answer all these questions? They started asking them, what, like it was a year and half ago? Did she never answer?
I am addicted to inks, never wanted to try this method, though. looks nice. I wonder who thunk it up to begin with? Shaving Cream? I have been experimenting on my own for about 9 months, and this never popped in my head, Even after I saw youtube tutorials on it. So, I can assume my questions won't get answered either. oh well, have a nice day. THINK INK?

Lisa Stokes said...

Wow wow wow Sue, how truly amazing, I really must have a go at this, will have to wait until hubby arrives back from the shop with the shaving foam.
Can't wait now.
Thanks Sue x

I have always wanted to try this. What do you use for inks and how long does the shaving cream stay on card before you scrape it off?

Your videos are so thorough, however this print tutorial has so much left out, like the others, did you use food coloring? thinned down acrylic paint? The paper almost looked like a watercolor paper in the one picture.
Absolutely love your video tutorials but this one has to much guessing to what materials you have used to be of much use at all. Would love to see a list of supplies used, I am imaginative enough knowing that to guess how it was done.

Lovely design using the drops of ink on the shaving lotion. Reminds me of the oils on water technique we used in school.

Tried this yesterday but the ink came awy mostly when wiped off (I used acrylic ink, brushos and pergamano ink -did not use alcohol ink this time). Not sure if it was the card I used (a coated card, not gloss) or if I will have to go back to alcohol ink. I heard that acrylics don't go 'muddy' which is why I tried them. What card do you suggest please?

I found this blog post on shaving foam art really fascinating! While the topic might seem unrelated to saving money, I believe that creativity and resourcefulness can go hand in hand when it comes to budgeting.

I recently stumbled upon your blog post about creating art with shaving foam, and I must say, it's both inspiring and informative! While the post doesn't directly relate to my search for "How to save 10000 in 6 Months.
